In summary:  Mud, mud and more MUD!

Pre-race briefing:  the announcer guy is warning us about the dog poop near the starting line!

Great!  We've run 10 seconds and already our feet are soaked, woo-hoo!

"Pssst.  Don't tell her hamstrings, but there are many big hills ahead.  Mwahahahahaha!"

It felt like a rollercoaster, being clustered like this.  Going downhill and around corners on the serpentine trails, I found myself "leaning" into the turn.  Good thing I didn't throw my arms up and yell, "Ahhhhhhhh!"

What's funny is despite our immediately mud-caked and completely soaked feet, we still would try to "navigate" mud puddles for the "highest/driest" ground.  Old habits die hard!

Smile!  You're almost there!

Nope, it's not raining, I'm just sweating -- I mean, glowing!

A final dash through the mud, followed by a final lap around the "finishing field" -- HOORAY!
